A fourth generation family business

The original business was established at Aberaeron in 1966 under the name of the founders A S Thomas & Sons. Today there are four businesses under the control of Huw Thomas and Nest Evans (grandson and granddaughter of the founder). Sion Evans, great grandson is now the operations manager, based at Aberaeron. These are MGM (Myrddin Garden Machinery) at Carmarthen, AM Garden Services at Aberaeron, Cantre Mobility at Aberaeron and Carmarthen and Compton Distribution at Aberaeron

In 1975 the company opened a small branch at Pensarn, Carmarthen. By 1978 we had outgrown these premises and moved to Abergwili Road. We relocated to our present address in 1997.

The business specialised in quality garden machinery from the outset and rapidly gained an enviable reputation for after sales service. This remains the core of the business today and every machine offered for sale comes with the assurance that all servicing or maintenance will be carried out by our own engineers.

Today, the main franchises held are Atco, Honda, Husqvarna, Maruyama, Stiga and Stihl. 

The product range includes –  Lawnmowers, Out-front rotary mowers, petrol lawn tractors and ride-on mowers, chainsaws, brush cutters, hedge trimmers, shredders & chippers, blowers and vacs, tillers, generators, ride on mowers Wales, professional hedge trimmers, garden equipment and other specialist equipment.

Our Station Approach properties are easy to find by road, just follow the signs for Railway/Train Station. Carmarthen Station is on the main line from Swansea to Fishguard and has good bus links to all areas. When you arrive at the station look right – and there we are.
